Grand Hall

This elegant ballroom on the main level can accommodate up to 240 guests reception style. You can create lasting memories by having your special event in the faithfully restored Grand Hall. This two-level room features three enchanting 12-branch chandeliers and a stunning double stairway leading to a full wrap around balcony. Your guests will be captivated by the historic architecture and picturesque views that overlook our formal gardens alongside the Grand River.
 
Your rental includes use of the entire balcony, expansive wood floor that can be used as a dance floor, set up of tables and chairs, and an Activity Host for the duration of your event. The Blake Room is an additional meeting space and is included in the rental. This room can be utilized as a dressing area.
 
The Grand Hall has a Steinway & Sons piano that is available upon request. A restored 1928 theater pipe organ, which is operated by the Lansing Theater Organ Society, is also available to play with an organist by special arrangement.
 
The entire Opera House may be rented and can accommodate up to 240 guests when fully utilized, inside and outside in the garden. This is a popular option when you would like to have an outdoor ceremony in the gardens and a formal reception for more than 140 guests. The Grand Hall can easily be transformed into a classic ceremony space for those looking for indoor options.
 
The Opera House provides twenty-four 60" round tables available for your use in the Grand Hall. Additionally, there are 240 white folding fan-backed chairs for seating at the tables. Additional tables and chairs may be rented from local vendors.
